The MCB has issued Swine flu guidelines and urged Imams and mosque committee members to increase the awareness among Muslim through Ju’mah Khutba, Friday sermons and among children through Madrasas, supplementary schools.
The MCB also concurs with the advice of Saudi Health Authorities and WHO that the current pandemic strain of Swine Flu was more likely to be severe in certain groups of individuals – elderly, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases and children.
The MCB therefore urges Hajis and Umrah pilgrims to adhere to "good personal hygiene measures, including cough etiquette, use of antiseptic hand gels, and frequent hand washing with soap and water".
