A Trainee Clinical Psychologist is currently conducting a piece of online research with the University of Exeter which aims to learn more about how living in different environments affects the well-being of Muslims.
By learning more about the impact of living in different communities on well-being, it is hoped that psychology services within the NHS can be established that are more culturally appropriate and acceptable to members of the Muslim community. It is widely recognised that Muslim and other ethnic minority individuals do not access these services as readily as others or as the NHS would hope.
Consequently, the needs of many are going unmet by the present service and this research aims to help reduce this disparity.
The study has received full ethical approval by Exeter University and takes around 15 minutes to complete. |
