Wednesday 13th August 2008 at Muslim Council of Britain office Muslim Spiritual Care Provision in the NHS is going to hold a one day healthcare chaplaincy training on 13th August 2008. As we have received requests from a number of applicants who could not take part in our very successful intensive course for aspiring Muslim healthcare chaplains in May 2008. The course will cater for the needs of both existing PTE chaplains as well as preparing the aspiring chaplains to attain required professional skills oriented to specific Muslim needs.
The course content is designed to comply with the Multi Faith Group on Healthcare Chaplaincy's (MFGHC) syllabus and Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) taking into account the guidelines provided by the NHS. The trainers include both Muslim scholars as well as Chaplaincy professionals of other faiths.
Muslim Spiritual Care Provision in the NHS is a joint project of the Department of Health and the Muslim Council of Britain. The objective of the project is to provide professionally trained Muslim healthcare Chaplains to the NHS hospitals whenever an opportunity arises.
