Application now open for membership of the Muslim Council of Britain's Public Affairs Committee
The Muslim Council of Britain's Public Affairs Committee is now welcoming applications for membership. The Committee's purpose is to connect the Muslim community to the political and democratic process, and inform and influence the policy agenda at a National, European and Regional Level.
2010 will be an important year for British politics, and a critical time for volunteers to make a contribution.
This is an exciting opportunity for those British Muslims who have a demonstrable interest in politics and public policy and those with a passion for generating greater democratic and civic participation in the Muslim community. It will also be an opportunity to help inform and shape the wider public policy concerns of the MCB.
If you would like to become a member, please supply a CV outlining relevant experience and background together with a short statement outlining how you would help the Committee in its work and what your vision is for the community. The MCB is a democratic, non-partisan body and prospective members should show a commitment to this in their application, together with a commitment to donate their time and expertise.
