Six Day Residential Course on Muslim Healthcare Chaplaincy
Thursday 17 February 2011

Saturday 14th – Thursday 19th May 2011

Venue: Branchet Lodge, Gilwell park, Chingford, London, E4 7QW

Muslim Spiritual Care Provision in the NHS, a project of the Muslim Council of Britain in partnership with the Department of Health is tasked to raise awareness about Muslim healthcare chaplaincy, train aspiring chaplains to gain appropriate competence to be available to be recruited in NHS hospitals when opportunity arises. UK’s growing Muslim population is increasingly reflected in the staff and user numbers of the NHS hospitals as well. This also means that the NHS will need more Muslim chaplains to serve its patients and staff than ever before.

For the last 4 years Muslim Spiritual Care Provision in the NHS is running an annual residential training course on healthcare chaplaincy providing broad and focussed training on different aspect of healthcare chaplaincy. The success of the course is widely recognised and often the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or other senior NHS officials attend in the closing session and distribute the certificates.

Due to the success of our above training courses and increasing demand we are now pleased to offer a further six day training course to be held from 14th to 19th May 2011.

For more details, please download course brochure.

BOOKINGS: To book your place please complete and return the application form (via post/email) with appropriate payment.

Fees for the six day course are £700.00. Please make cheques payable to the Muslim Council of Britain. The course fee includes handouts, refreshments, accommodation and meals.
