Al Buruj Press Presents
Unity through Diversity
Can we still be united despite having differences?
If the Imams of the four Schools and classical jurists established all their rulings from the Qur’an and Sunnah, why have they differed on so many points? Why are there so many differences within the Ummah? How do we approach these differences? Who do we ask and trust when different people say different things? Why does is seem that there are contradictions in the Qur’an and Sunnah? When is it acceptable for Muslims to differ over religious matters? What are the etiquettes of differing?
This course which is to be delivered by Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari’ will attempt to answer these and many other questions in light of Shaykh al-Hadith Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi’s work “The Differences of the Imams”, using examples from the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), his Companions and early Muslims.
