Summary: This event is aimed at current trustees of voluntary / community groups who are seeking to improve their effectiveness as committee members
Description: To celebrate Trustees Week 2012 Newham Capacity Builders Working Group, which includes Aston-Mansfield Community Involvement Unit, Newham Voluntary Sector Consortium and The Forum for Health & Wellbeing has organised events to celebrate Trustees' Week. The events are also supported by Newham Council.

This event is aimed at current trustees of voluntary / community groups who are seeking to improve their effectiveness as committee members. Issues covered by the training will include:
• Responsibility of committee members to the organisation and how each affects and relates to the other
• The responsibility of each individual to the organisation
• How to recruit committee members
• Working together to combat difficult situations
• Retention of committee members - getting the best for your committee
• Induction, support, training and communication
• Codes of conduct

Places must be reserved in advance (maximum of 25), spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
