Organised by Utrujj Foundation in partnership with Muslim Deaf UK |
| Description: |
We see around us serious economic concerns, political unrest in much of the world, violence in the name of faith and misrepresentation of Muslims in the media. The world around us shakes and our hearts cry out for sure footing, for a sure foundation; for certainty in uncertain times.
However living in an age of broken promises and such times of insecurity we cannot be confident about what will happen and it inevitably instils in us a lot of negative feelings. Our concerns about what we might expect compound with frustrations about how to approach such a future and not be ill- equipped. We are not left without hope: The promises of Allah to the believers.
The message is that our ultimate trust and focus is to be on the provider not on the provision. The 25 promises are to the believers (Al-Muiminoon) and when Allah promises something, then He (swt) means it, and we can be certain that it will happens; as Allah(swt) says “(such is) the promise of Allah, never does Allah fail in His promise” [Al Qur’an 39:20] and in another verse “The promise of Allah is true, and He is Exalted in Power, Wise.” [Al Qur’an 31:9].
Understanding these promises we can look forward to a future with positivity and focus our attention on inculcating successful behaviours which will benefit us not just in this life but in the next life as well inshAllah.
