On the 11th of October St Bonaventure's School, Forest Gate, we were very fortunate to have Mr Bulbul Ali, the Vice Chair of the Social and Family Affairs committee of the Muslim Council of Britain and talk to us about a Muslim place of worship.

We are an all boys Catholic School and were doing a project for the day with Year 8 boys where they would be able to compare similarities and differences of our Church with a Jewish, and Muslim place of worship. This was a great opportunity for community cohesion, and was a great success, the boys were able to have a lot of their questions answered.

The following day the boys told me how much they learnt and the significance of the rituals when attending the Mosque. It was a very fulfilling experience, and I am sincerely grateful to Mr Farrukh Hassan for arranging the speaker and for Mr Bulbul Ali for giving up his time for us.
