MCB Youth Committee to host Second National Muslim Youth Conference
The Muslim Council of Britain and its Youth Committee is to host its second National Muslim Youth Conference on Youth Work on Sunday 8th August 2010 at the KD Grammar School in Manchester. The conference which is aimed at bringing together MCB affiliated youth organisations, external youth groups, projects and organisation will include delegates from across the UK. It will form the beginning of a network of relationships with youth organisations in combating the same common challenges that are being confronted by young British Muslims up and down the country. Co-ordinating the conference, the Youth Committees' Yorkshire & Humber Representative Mohammed Omran and North West Representative Ruji Surjan said "the conference will give us a real opportunity to not only proactively address some of the challenges facing our young community but also look at ways Muslim youth organisations in particular can work together more effectively". The Conference will further host four workshops on Masjid & Young People, Community & Business, Collaboration & Working Together and Disability awarness.
