Policy Analyst Internship
The MCB’s Research & Documentation Committee is offering a three
month paid internship commencing June/July 2013 to analyse the 2011 Census data from
a Muslim perspective, provide comparisons with 2001 Census data and organise a
seminar on this theme by October 2013 aimed at the academic and policy world.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is looking for
committed volunteers for three months period starting immediately or as soon as
possible, to help in their busy office in East London, near Whitechapel tube
station. Hours are negotiable either part time or full time.
Some work will include:
- Updating database of Muslim community organisations
- Helping
with organising events
- Searching the internet for
information
- Office administration daily tasks
- Organising and helping out with
‘mail shots’ of MCB materials to their affiliates and other organisations
If you have knowledge of Microsoft Office (in
particular: Word and Excel), have excellent communication skills and have the
ability to work with others we are interested to hear from you.
In return, MCB will cover the costs of your lunch
and travel expenses on presentation of your receipts.

Events Coordinator
The Muslim Council of Britain is looking for a volunteer Events Coordinator to work as a part of a team based at our London office. The work is project based and includes; assisting in the planning and implementation of fundraising events, marketing and administration.
We are looking for someone who has excellent research skills, strong organisational skills, is internet savvy, outgoing, personable, articulate, a fast learner, have good ability to multi-task, highly motivated, not afraid of responsibility, reliable, mature, and an independent worker. Previous experience is a plus, but less important than personality and initiative as there will be on the job training. Must be a team player, have a good attitude, and can take a project and run with it.
This is a voluntary role and is organised for 3 - 6 months duration. Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed – travel and lunch (provided that receipts are provided)
There is an initial trial period. Hours are flexible. We are happy to consider interest for full time or for part time role.
