A free festival is being held in Trafalgar Square this Saturday to
celebrate Eid Ul Fitr. The festival welcomes people from all communities
and faiths and is a fun afternoon for the whole family with stage
entertainment, exhibitions and various children's activities.
This year, the Eid festival features a fantastic food festival from 12:30, where you can sample a range of local delicacies from across the Islamic world, including Turkey, Lebanon, India and Morocco. Come and enjoy delicious treats such as a cool Hibiscus quencher, a taste of Indian street food or one of London’s first halal hot dogs.
There’ll also be live performances from Nasheed artists such as Saif Adam, Adam Ali and SilkRoad as well as exciting acts like singers Mumzy and Tariq Khan.
From cooking tips on global cuisine, arts and crafts, henna and face painting – there’ll be activities for the whole family!
