There is much to look forward to in the research arena at this time, with varied areas of study and publication, including the forthcoming results of the University of Glasgow's study of the charitable habits of British Muslims. A number of new books will also be published shortly and, as ever, the subject matters are diverse and innovative.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at University College Chester for those wishing to undertake research leading to a PhD on Muslims in Britain. The Gladstone Fellowship will award £10,500 per annum for a least one year with the possibility of an extension up to 3 years. For more information see www.chester.ac.uk/jobs. The closing date is 14 May 2004.
We also have a vacancy here at the Muslim Council of Britain: MCBDirect Web Editor/Community Information Officer. This is a two-year full-time post based at our Stratford (London) offices. For more information see www.mcb.org.uk/mcbdirect. The closing date is 15 May 2004.
Please keep your contributions coming in.
