Islamic Relief presents in celebration of its 20th anniversary: An Evening of Inspiration

Islamic Relief, in commemoration of 20 years of relief work, is planning a series of entertaining and spiritually uplifting evenings featuring world famous Islamic entertainers. All proceeds will be going towards Islamic Relief projects in aid of children around the world.

Islamic Relief is a British aid agency addressing the needs of the world's poorest people. Founded by Dr Hany El Banna, Islamic Relief received its first donation of just 20p from a young boy. Twenty years later, by the will of God, the organistion has grown to become Britain's largest Muslim charity with seven figure budgets and hundreds and thousands of beneficiaries.

These benefit concerts for children around the world will feature an international line up of performers, as detailed below.

Zain Bhikha (South Africa)

Now in the 10th year of recording and performing Nasheeds (Islamic songs), working with Yusuf Islam's Mountain of Light Productions, he has recorded four albums and continues to perform his soulful and inspiring Nasheeds worldwide.

Sami Yusuf (UK)

Sami learnt to play several instruments at a very young age and gradually began to show a keen interest in singing and composing. Sami sees songs as a means of promoting the message of Islam and encouraging the youth to be proud of their religion and identity.

Performing in London only.

Native Deen (USA)

The eclectic sounds that take root in their American Muslim upbringing, has made the trio known as Native Deen, a hit with people of all ages. Fans describe their music as not only 'upbeat' but also 'uplifting' in a world where there is so much negativity.

Imad Rami (Syria)

Famous ex-Arabic pop singer, Imad Rami has now devoted his talents to performing heart-rending Nasheeds. Originally from Syria, Imad Rami and his group is the world's number one Arabic Nasheed group with a following to match.

Ahmed Ahmed (USA)

Comedy derived from a series of stories based on his Egyptian background and his Muslim faith, dealing with stereotypes that most Arab and Muslims face during these vulnerable times, post September 11th. Fun for the whole family!

Early booking is recommended, as tickets are limited.

We wish Islamic Relief every success with this venture and by the grace of God, continuing success with their relief efforts.
