ELM-Islam Awareness Course

**6 SPACES REMAINING**WEDNESDAY 1st JUNE 2016 10AM – 5.30PM  | £50.00*

(*Concessionary rates available, email directly to discuss options)

Muslims are part of the mosaic of British society. However, Islam is still one of the world’s most misunderstood religions.

Many Muslims wear visible signs of their faith, which can lead to the perpetuation of stereotypes and myths.

People often do not have the opportunity to speak to a knowledgeable Muslim, ask the questions they want or develop a better understanding of the faith that one fifth of humanity follows.

Our experience in delivering effective short courses means the benefits will last you a lifetime. This one day course will cover:

  • Beliefs of Islam and Muslims
  • Role of the Mosque and Imams
  • History of Muslims in Britain
  • Contemporary issues

There will be plenty of time for questions and answers

As part of our commitment to promoting diversity through inclusivity, the East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre have made this course available for people wanting to improve their knowledge or add value to their working roles.

The course has been designed for a non-Muslim audience.

Ideal for:

  • Local authority staff
  • Senior managers
  • Councillors
  • Healthcare workers
  • Corporate sales
  • Social workers
  • Policy makers
  • Police, Fire and Ambulance Services
  • Prison Chaplaincy services
