Dear Stephen,
If you go to the following link on the BBC Online website you will see a feature about a Hindu festival (Thaipusam) in Malaysia:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/3512330.stm
The sixth slide in the feature states that:
"Even though Malaysia is an Islamic country, people here are tolerant."
This seems to suggest that the people of Malaysia are tolerant in spite of the fact that the majority of them are Muslim. I hope you can see why this statement is derogatory towards Islam and Muslim people! Please can you ensure that it is corrected urgently. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Inayat Bunglawala,
Secretary,
Media Committee,
The Muslim Council of Britain
