Dear Editor

The worst terrorist, after of course the US, in the world - Israel- illegally occupies other people’s land, oppresses them, abducts them, indiscriminately kills their children, women and other innocent citizens, destroys their infrastructure, imposes humiliation, poverty, hunger and misery upon them and if they show any signs of resistance, calls their action terrorism and reacts with violence of inhumane proportions.

Where is this world leading to? Where has disappeared the justice for the week and vulnerable of this World?

Since the US has assumed the roll of the world policeman justice has become what suits US and its protégés like Israel. Only they, in light of their selfish and myopic policies, decide what justice is and what injustice is. It is becoming evident day by day that the arrogance, double standards, bullying and illegal interference in other countries affairs of the US and its allies is leading the world to disorder and God forbid to ultimate disaster.

The most disturbing thing however, is that our Labour government is always siding with the US. During the present crisis in the Middle East, perhaps to avoid offending the US and Israel, it has not uttered even a word of concern never mind condemnation of the Israeli excesses and atrocities in Palestine and Lebanon. Or may be (the recent events in London make is very probable) like the US our Labour government has also fallen under the influence of the Jewish lobby.

This does not appear to be the same Labour that believed in ‘promotion of peace, the adjustment and settlement of international disputes by conciliation or judicial arbitration’ etc. This of course is the New Labour being manipulated and disgraced by Bush’s puddle our Prime Minister Tony Blair. No wonder so many people are leaving this once great socialist organisation.
