I heard on the news today that you (the Council) have been receiving hatemail since the terrible news about America broke on 11th september.
I'm not surprised that extreme racists would take advantage of such an awful situation to peddle their hate.
But I am saddened that some of the general public and indeed the media don't seem able to differentiate between those who committed these crimes, who may or may not be Muslim, and anyone who just happens to be Muslim. That is worrying .
