Mr R Lambert

To all tue Muslims, I am a peace loving Christian which means that my love extends to all without exception and there can be no exceptions for I am taught to love my enemy. I can also see from your web page that you too are horrified by the 11th Sept actions taken, wrongly, in the name of Islam and that you have serious concerns about the current attacks on Afghanistan So therefore I feel that matter no rests with the entire Muslam faith to co-operate quickly and without obfustication to see that the causes of this conflict - possibly the worst in the existence of the solar system - are brought to a swift end.

I agree that the bombing is wrong but until my dear brothers and sisters in the Muslim faith, who I will alway support and protect, take action I can understand why it is taking place. Please act quickly. You alone can influence history now.

As you lot ignored my last e-mail politely enquiring why you have a chip on your shoulder over the war against terrorism, may I now suggest you clear off back to Muslim-land, wherever that is, and leave us free-thinking people in peace. Tossers.

I am becoming very worrid about the Muslim community that is now being perceived as the enemy within Muslims born in the UK fighting against British troops are seen to be traitors as are the students who rejoiced in public on september 11 Please try to respect the tradtions that allowed you in this country in the fist place for if not English nationalism will arise and horror will ensue

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been given your address by a friend. I wanted to communicate to you my deep sympathy for the unnecessary deaths of all the Muslims who were killed in America on 11.9., and also for the outrageous, illegal and unwarranted attacks on Afghanistan carried out by the US and UK resulting in many more innocents being killed. From both my professional work, and my personal contact with Muslims here and in the Middle East, I can only begin to appreciate the additional pain that many of your fellow Muslims must be experiencing at this time, with military attacks in central Asia, the ongoing bombing of Iraq, the suppression of Palestinian rights; and now, at an unprecedented level, the open hostility, deep-seated prejudice and suspicion against those who in Britain (and Europe, US etc) adhere to the Muslim faith.

As someone who tries to live up to the precepts of the Christian faith, but who also recognises that being human, every day I fall short of the ideal to which I aspire, I would encourage you and your fellow Muslims in your faith; that in these difficult times you find, in the message communicated to you by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), solace, comfort, and the motivation to continue to work for a better understanding of the world and the place of each person in it, in the same way that I find these things in the Christian faith that is so important to me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Muslims around the world in these difficult times

salam,

I would like to thank you for your efforts made thus far in representing british muslims and the true spirit of Islam in the media. May Allah reward your sincere work. Listening to the radio and watching some of the talkshows, it seems clear that muslim opinion is divided. Although this is to be expected, many are 'extreme'. It seems many muslims are confused as to what the appropriate stance is with regards to the current affairs. This is having unfortunate consequences for muslims and non muslims alike sowing confusion. I feel we need one (official) voice, representing muslim opinion/fact on such programmes. It would clarify many matters of debate for both camps and hopefully repair some of the damage done by irresponsible speech. Perhaps other muslim organisations could also be requested to put forward spokesmen/women to air the facts rather than fiction. Radio talkshows are especially volatile where calmer minds would benefit. Many thanks

Wasalam
