Dear MCB,

Congratulations on an interesting and informative website! Keep up your good work. I am truly amazed at the speedy response you have given to the world's most recent issues. Thank you also for all the Jews who have supported the Palestinian cause. Your support has proven that the Palestinian issue is not about racism. Keep up your good work and may God bless all of you!

Dear Sir,

I hope you do not mind my writing to you in response to your article today. As an old age pensioner who has already been through a world war and who cannot sleep easily with the thought of the suffering of the Palestinians. I would like to offer my support and agreement with all you have said. I am ashamed of both Mr Blair and Mr Straw for their biased approach and total disregard for what is going on. It seems to me that politicians have dispensed with the morality of justice and therefore, to me, their moral integrity is is tatters. I have never seen such a lack of will for what one's conscience says is right and honourable.

I am an internationalist and care about the world we live in . Because I am just an individual, I have no ability to make a difference. I complained to the BBC for its lack of coverage opf the Palestinian cause and its history, and also asked why there was almost no coverage of such a major demonstration in support of Palestine, on Ceefax., needless to say I never received a reply.
I hope that these attitudes can be changed, but I have little faith in them today. I will probably no longer vote as it seems pointless.

Yours truly,

To whom it may concern:
I am a British Jew and was quite taken aback at the way you dismissed the Chief Rabbi's call on the government to crack down on those seeking to radicalise British Muslims on your website.
In the same press release you express the wish Muslim-Jewish relations in the UK remain good; I share this wish wholeheartedly. Surely then you should be joining in the fight to combat those like Omar Bakri Muhammed and Abu Hamza who sully Islam's good name with their calls to kill Jews and destroy America and Israel.
I realise that you and I probably have very different opinions on the conflict in the Middle East but we share - I hope - the desire for peace in the region and a solution which produces a Palestinian state living in peace with its neighbour Israel. However, our two communities in Britain both contribute enormously to the cultural diversity of the country and it would be tragic if extremist elements on either side were allowed to harm relations.

Yours sincerely

Dr Dilip Kapur

I write to express my support for the well judged and diplomatic letter the MCB has sent to Mr Jack Straw. As a Hindu, living in Australia, I have no other interest in the Israeli - Palestinian conflict other than that of a human being, appalled at the excesses and the tragic loss of life.
My grandfather, Shadi Ram Kapur lived for most of his life in a Muslim city (Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh) where, despite some communal tensions, peace and prosperity was everyone's aim. As a young boy, living in England and indoctrinated by the nakedly partisan and pro-Israeli Western media, it was he who exposed to me the dishonesty and unashamed racism of the Zionist state of Israel in its destruction of the Palestinian future.

All of us must keep the pressure on our elected politicians to act with a sense of natural justice and reign in the state terrorists who shelter under the name of the so-called Israel Defence force. At the same time, I feel that the many Muslim governments in the region must be pressured to act responsibly.....

Yours very sincerely

Congratulations on your recent letter to the Times. It cannot be said often enough that criticism of Israel and Israel's actions does not constitute ant Semitism any more than codemnation of Palestinian suicide bombers constitutes anti Islam.

This point must be constantly made. The supporters of the actions of Israel under any circumstances constantly hide behind this excuse particulaly in the USA and I am ashamed to say here in Australia. This often silences people of good will.
