DEAR SIR, WITH REFERENCE TO YOUR RECENT LETTER IN THE "TIMES".... I AM AN ENGLISHMAN LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY, AND AM ALSO APPALLED AT BEING LABELLED ANTI-SEMITIC FOR MY UN-BIASED OPINION OF THE EVENTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

IT IS MY PRACTISE TO DOWNLOAD EUROPEAN NEWSPAPERS..........AND AM CONSTANTLY AMAZED AT THE FULL AND EVEN COVERAGE GIVEN. AMAZED BECAUSE AMERICAN NEWSPAPERS ARE ON THE WHOLE TOTALLY BIASED IN FAVOUR OF ISRAEL..............IN THIS ERA OF SO CALLED MASS COMMUNICATION THE U.S. IS IN GREAT DANGER OF BECOMING A CLOSED AND INSULAR COMMUNITY EVER READY TO LABEL SOMEONE ANTI-SEMITIC FOR NOT CONDEMNING PALESTINE.

YOURS SINCERELY,

Dear MCB

If it is true that Muslims do not integrate into society, then Peter Hains comment should be seen as helpful, constructive criticism.

I suggest that MCB do some research of non Muslims living near to Muslim communities, to ascertain whether they think that Muslims integrate into society or not.

Sir ,
I support your excellent letter , thank you . As a christian I am against the Israeli action, which does not seem like self-defence to me .

Good wishes

Dear Sir,

I think Peter Hain has hit the nail on the head , as Pim Fortuyn siad'it is incompatable to liberal society for the mass migration of islamics into western europe'.Thank god someone has the guts to eventually say the things what need to be said.

Dear mr. Sacranie,

The peaceful resolution of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians will come about when the occupied territories have been evacuated and when the Palestinians adhere to UN Resolution 242 which call for "an end to belligerence, territorial claims, threats of force and acts of force" and "recognises the rights of all States to a secure and peaceful existence".

Demanding that the refugees be returned to their former homes in what is now Israel goes against the will of the UN Partition Resolution which specifically called for the formation of two states, one Jewish and one Arab. This is the Resolution which the Arabs brutally spurned.

As for the issue of Muslim antisemitism: this must be addressed by Muslims themselves. The Arab and Muslim worlds are now awash with antisemitic propaganda, much of it sanctioned by Arab and Muslim Governments. As Jews, we can do nothing about that, except to consider the evidence and react appropriately. It is, of course, not only propaganda which is poisoniong relations between Jews and Muslims but also Koranic strictures about Jews which are not seen in an historic context but also used to pour abuse on to Jewish communities today and everywhere.

Until these issues are addressed by Muslims, the relations between Jews and Muslims will remain dangerously tense.

Sincerely,
