At last the Ahmadi family have been deported. They should not have been in this country, and they should return to their homeland. Why do Muslims get involved in these things.

This is not a religious issue, but a matter for the Home Office. The Muslim faith is not welcome in this Christian country, especially after the events of 9/11.

I do not like "British" Muslims' attitudes towards living in Britain that are portrayed in these letters.

Britain is not a Muslim country, and never has been, and we are being forced to cope with growing numbers of immigrants. Mosques are springing up all over the place, street signs are in Arabic, and Islamic schools are discriminating against non-Muslims.

If there is any protest against these changes to British society, the British are accused of "inciting religious hatred". Is it really so wrong to want to preserve their existance? Is it really so wrong to want to be able to walk through a part of town where you don't feel like an outsider?

Muslims are visitors to this country, and should treat their hosts with more respect.

Why has there been no condemnation from "the moderate" muslims of the "rally" being held in london this weekend.

Could it be for the same reason there was no unequivical condemnation coming from muslims in Britain about Sept 11th 01.

the declarations coming from muslims about Britain becoming a muslim state and the destruction of western values and culture does not endear Islam to the indigent population.

Muslims have more rights here than they do in any of the islamic countries yet you want to destroy the principles,values and practices that have given those rights.

My ancestors along with many other peoples fought and died for our way of life why do you want to destroy it, maybe that is a silly question, Islam has behaved in this way ever since the Rape of Sind, Beirut was a christian enclave untill they agreed to let in Yasser arrafat, look what happened.
