Dear friends,

With the current world political situation I am very concerned that minorities and especially Christian minorities will be under even further pressure in Islamic majority lands. The Western press and Western politicians are very reluctant to ackowledge the isssue of persecution and discrimination against minorities (especially Christian) in Islamic lands for fear of causing offence or undermining their political objectives. I fear that if the situation re: Iraq further deteriorates Christians in countries like Pakistan, Sudan, Iran, Indonesia, and ex pat workers in Saudi Arabia will pay a heavy price. Having visited some of these countries I know how difficult life can be for the minorities and during political upheaval its even worse.

Whilst I fully recognise that Muslims in Britain continue to face challenges, problems and discrimination as a minority I would respectfully ask that organisations like MCB rise above the moral indifference of our politicians and appeal to their Muslim brothers direct to protect the rights of minorities in Islamic countries and that they be allowed to practice their religion in freedom and peace.

Yours respectfully

I owe your organisation an apology. I criticised them for not condemning the Bali atrocity, but I was premature. Please accept my apologies.

Whilst there are Christians who are worried about the fate of other Christians in Muslim countries, I feel it is only fair to also highlight the danger that Muslims have to face daily in the UK as well as other countries like Australia and Israel. Just a few days ago, there was another bomb attack on a mosque in Australia that destroyed part of the building. If anything at all, the Bali bombings make it even more dangerous for Muslims to live anywhere in this globe.

Even now Blair is using the Bali bombings to justify Bush's proposal that UK should be involved in attacking Iraq. Won't that involve more blood-shed for Muslims as well as Christians? Do not think that since all of the inhabitants of these countries are not white that all of them are non-Christians too. If Christians in this country are really worried about the fate of Christians elsewhere, as I am sure their religion requires them to be, than please think again about the deeper implications of launching a war in Iraq. This war will only kill more innocent Christians.

Also, why is the US and UK allies of Israel when Isreal, which already has 'weapons of mass destruction', is clearly murdering both Muslim and Christian Palestinians? Are Christian Palestinians not on equal footing with other Christians in the eyes of God? Why do some Christians, particularly in the West, openly support their Zionist friends at the expense of watching other Christians die terrible deaths and witnessing the destruction of their holy city? Don't they care for the sancity of their holy places? Are they so guilt-ridden about what happened in the

'Holocaust' that they are blinding themselves to the Judeo-Nazism that is happening in Palestine? Even without the 'help' of the suicide-bombers, some of whom are Christians, Israel will continue to humiliate, subjugate and kill Palestinians and Christians until all of Palestine is theirs.
This is a fact! Yet, nobody is interested in facts anymore, because everything from presidents to the mass-media is hell bent on blaming everything on the current scapegoat nowdays, the Muslims.
