Assalamu Aliakum
I would like to make a comment on your latest new item regarding the MCB's
forthcoming participation at the OIC meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
While it is right to defend the rights of Muslims in these regions
(Palestine, Kashmir etc) and we all pray for them each week, why is it
that
we neglect the rights of Muslims across the world who are suffering and
rarely get a mention? Especially those individuals who are being tortured
in jails in so-called Muslim countries becuase of their beliefs and
opinions. Muslims are suffering everywhere, including here in the UK. The
Palestinians deserve our prayers but the more they provoke the Israelis
with
suicide attacks, the less likely it is that the suffering inflicted upon
them will ease. This suicide strategy is unIslamic and leading absolutely
nowhere.

| I learnt from your email the arrest of Hazrat Motalah
Sahib. I was realy hurt. We must do something about
this kind of disrespect to our Ulamaa.

Assalam alaikum
In yesterday's Times p22 there is an article captioned "Britain's war on Saddam had the law on its side" by Christopher Greenwood.
I am a lawyer have read it and find it grossly cavalier and audacious. Quoting various resolutions of the UN, the fact remains that USA & UK went to war without the support of the Security Council, because they knew that France China and Russia could veto.
I am sure you have amongst your membership someone who can write a rebuttal to Mr Greenwood.
He is part of the lying machine. He has not cited any law or referred to any international convention in support of his assertions.
I am copying this to the Muslim Council of Britain
Yours sincerely

For years I have not sent christmas cards, nor even jewish new year cards however, I am so troubled by world and UK events, and the rise of the new fascists, that I have felt moved to send greetings to muslim friends at
this ramadan. so, I wish you and all your family a Ramadan Mubarak.
May you have joy during these weeks, and the peace in the coming year for
which we all yearn, here in Britain, and in the troubled places of the
world.
best wishes
