Hello,

I have just read about the dreadful rant that the day time talk show presenter Kilroy has recently given. I just wanted to say that his views are not representative, like him I am a non-Muslim but I in no way agree with anything he said.
I think it is terrible that people can, so easily, present such abhorrent ideas under the guise of journalism or reportage. Not only is it racially offensive, it was historically and culturally inaccurate. I feel great shame that this country, who usually has high reporting standards and tolerance, should now have so easily slipped into "islamaphobia".
With each rabid news article and, of course, the foolishness of "kilroy", I felt that I had to write in and say that there are people out here who do not accept or condone such trite views.
Regards,

Stuart (scotland)

Bismi Illahi Arahman Araheem,

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a Muslim currently living in the UK and I am originally from Libya. The article written by Mr. Kilroy has only come to my attention today and I am absolutely disgusted that a man so obviously racist still has a job with the BBC who are so adamant about "equal opportunities" and "employee diversity". I would just like to commend the Muslim Council of Britain on writing to the relevant bodies and would like to ask if there is anything I could do to help (even if it is to write a letter or sign a petition).

Someone like this should be made an example of that both Arabs and Muslims will not be treated this way. I especially agree with your comment that if he had attacked the Black or Jewish populations, I very much doubt he would have a job right now.
Thank you for your time and attention and insha'llah this matter will be resolved.

Wa' assalum alakum wa rahmity Allahi wa barakatuhu,

Mr Kevin Patterson
Sirs, As a white Scottish male, I wish to express my outrage and disgust at recent anti-Arab and anti-Muslim comments made by Mr Kilroy-Silk. His comments show him to be a racist idiot of the first order and I applaud you in your attempts to have him sacked.

Dear Sirs
As I am unable to comment on the BBC website, I am compelled to write to your organisation to say that as a white Englishman, I am surprised, shocked and discusted that a "so-called" educated man such as Kilroy-Silk can express such ignorant and uneducated opinions against 'Arabs'.

"What have the Arabs done for us?" has got to be the most insanely ignorant (almost to the point of being humourous) question I have heard - ever!!! My personal opinion is that there is a big, big difference between racism and prejudice, but in this instance Mr Kilroy-Silk is walking a tightrope! Arab, white, black and especially Kilroy-Silk GET AN EDUCATION!!!

Kind regards,
Peterborough UK.
