I am a white, Christian European. And I am appalled by the comments made by Kilroy Silk in his newpaper column. Be assured that his views are not representative of me, nor most of my family, friends and colleagues.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a 25 year old white man. I was raised as a christian under the church of England and I just wanted to write to lend you my whole hearted support.
I believe what Mr.Kilroy-Silk wrote in the Express is the most disgusting piece of Islamophobic propaganda I have ever had the misfortune to read. It may come as small comfort but it is my belief that his views IN NO WAY represent the thinking of the vast majority of the British population, and I can only hope that it will act as a rallying call to the silent majority of the non-islamic public to rid our society of this kind of horrific and dangerous rhetoric.

I wish you the best of luck in your work and can only hope that with your help we can rid Britain of this kind of disgusting prejudice.

sincerely

Hello,
I read with disgust the story about kilroy-silk and his "what have they ever done for us" rant. Obviously he has never studied history or maths and is oblivious to the fact that most of our Western knowledge comes from a long line of scholars who, without the ancient Arab influences, studies and libraries, would have had no basis to build on; the majority of Western learning comes directly from the Arabs for which we owe you a great debt of thanks.

I am writing to express my disgust and offer my support in your rightful indignation over the article written by Mr Kilroy-Silk.
I have watched with horror as Muslims across the world have been blamed for all kinds of atrocities and generally victimised and feel that your organisation has been wrongly portrayed as a terrorist sympathy group. I hope that the media in question (who have a lot to answer for in my opinion) apologise publicly and openly and that Mr Kilroy-Silk is removed from his post in the BBC, as it can only send out the wrong message to the people of this country and abroad.
Although I am a non-muslim (and non religious for that matter), I feel that now is the time to stand up for the reputation of your religion which has been vilified over the last few years. I agree with your assertion that if these comments were made about blacks or Jews that there would be a national outcry (and rightly so), but unfortunately I think that there is a rising feeling in this country that we need a scapegoat for the global problems that the West has created. I only hope that this feeling will be nipped in the bud and that the xenophobic media epitomised by the Express and Mail are eventually treated with the contempt they deserve by the public in general.

Keep up the good work.

You say that Mr Kilroy-Silk is being racist. I say that he is sticking up for those of us who are fed-up with kow-towing to people, like your group, who, quite frankly, haven't done enough to condemn 9/11, and haven't done much to condemn the inflammatory actions/words of Abu Bakri Mohammed & Co - who appear to want to make Britain into an Islamic state and, personally, I have no intention of wearing a bourka or covering my head with a scarf unless it's for fashion reasons.

If you want to live here, fine, but stop bleating every time someone criticises your religion. Whatever you may say, your religion does oppress many women, the many states that have Islam as a religion have no democratic rights, and your religion, for all the Koran says, does not tolerate other religions.

If you and other likeminded Muslims don't like the west, then go back to somewhere that will happily oppress you!

As a white Christian, I feel that I must apologise for what I consider a bigoted and racist attack on arabs by the article by Kilroy in the Sunday Express. I support your assumptions that if that had been an anti-semitic piece it would have drawn condemnation from all quarters of society. I hope that appropriate action is taken to demonstrate that this sort of racist behaviour is unacceptable.
