I would simply like to voice my support for whatever further action yourselves and the CRE and persue against Kilroy-Silk and his repulsive anti-Arab diatribe in the Express.
Although I resentfully expect certain avenues of the right-wing press to publish such rubbish, I wholeheartly resent that part of my licence fee should go towards paying the salary of a clearly racist ignornant fool. I have emailed the BBC with these views, although this was not the first time I was moved to do so. I also contacted them regarding his obvious biggotry towards immigrants and blatent bias during the attack on Iraq.
We shall now see how serious the BBC considers it impartiality.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am an Arab and a Moslem who does not live in Britain. After reading the emails you have received about the newspaper article in the Express on Sunday I wish to thank all those good people who have written in disgust about what Mr. Kilroy-silk described us as" terrorists and women supressors". I am a woman who lives in the Arab world and I can assure you i am not suppressed. I really belive that Mr. Kilroy-silk got his information of the Arab world from the Hollywood version of the Arab world. I am really astonished to see a 60 year old man who lives in the 21st century and yet he is so ignorant. I am surprised that he is even allowed to write in News Paper that is widely read worldwide. As for his talk show I am sure many have seen it and it is not a thing I wish to waste my precious time on. I was very much impressed by the emails you got from the good people denouncing hate and racism. I belive what happened on 9/11 was an act of violence propagated by a group of misguided people who claim to be Moslems. They do not represent either Islam or the Arab world.
There are many such misguided people all around the world and in different faiths as well. If I may, I wish to enlighten Mr.Kilroy-silk that an Arab is also Christian. We are called Arab mostly because we speak the Arabic language. But after september 11 we are stereotyped as terrorists Moslems.
These evil terrorists have targeted many Arabs in the Arab world. But no one spoke of them assuming they were killing Arabs!!!!! However I wish congratulate the MCB for their tolerance and openmindedness in having all the emails on their website. That is what I call free speech. Not having an ignorant man ranting racist slander and call it the right to free speech. I wish you all the best and once again I wish to thank all the good British people wrote in disgusted for they have given me hope in believing that we are not alone and that we have good people who do not misjudge us because of bigotry. Yours truely

Dear Sirs
I have read with interest many of the views of both Muslims and non-Muslims on your MCB website and would like to express a couple of concerns that I have;-
1) An email sent to you on 5th December complained about religious labelling of British involved in crimes etc It would be highly irregular to put 'British Christian attached to reports about white British involved in heinous criminal offences as, christianity does not condone any killings, theft, etc - but more importantly for the reasons that the majority of white British are agnostics or atheists or worse.
Most British criminals have no religious persuasion and are only after instant self gratification. And violent Brits of any colour or religion bring terror to the hearts of many of all creeds.
2) I don't believe that it is advantageous for British Muslims to keep raising the race card, as prejudice is not just a 'white man's thing' I had the most abominable neighbour who destroyed the quality of my own life - he happened to be a Muslim but not a Muslim per se - he was a human with quirks and foibles and intolerances and prejudices. I disliked his behaviour immensely but NOT because he was a muslim - but his contempt for me was genuinely racist intolerance (i'm white) .
There are ignorant foolish bullying fascists all over the world - they don't just come with white or brown faces - It is down to experiences, personalities, arrogance or mental illness that cause people of any religion creed gender etc to become abhorently flawed. Less fuss would be the better step - not to lay down and take abuse - but to say yes some people individuals or groups do these terrible things but on the other side of the coin we also do this....that ... and the other.
Take the mature stance please - don't make British Muslims victims of the prejudice by constant jumping up and down. At best you will encourage Muslims to feel persecuted and anxious and act as victims or create new generations of angry young Muslim people - out for hatred and perceived revenge on the society in which they live and country that is their home. Not good either way!
And of course any white British backlash on race cards being waved too readily could create an anti muslim country that you would live in fear of. All people what ever their gender, size, colour, religion will experience bullying of some type at some time - lets aim to take power from the bad - by letting the public see not just the bad evil or deranged or complaining.....but the good, the hard working, the normal average person, or families of all races
That, I truly believe, is the way forward - if you incourage (through misplaced love) people to look at each other with mistrust, contempt and intolerance - inevitably we all reap what we sow.
Please look at Mr Kilroy Silk with objective eyes - If he has put in factual errors - correct them. If he has caused hurt express it not slaughter his career - For example I'm half Welsh - Anne Robinson off the weakest link forever makes derogatory references to the Welsh - I don't take offence - I laugh. My husband is Irish and highly intelligent and charming - he doesn't get offended if I call him Paddy. The first step to breaking down barriers is to communicate and trust and laugh - there is no racist ammunition if you can laugh!
My son also has been the vicitim of 4 seperate unprovoked violent assaults ( he is 18 with moderate learning difficulties) 2 were by Asians one a gang who kicked him quite violently, and one alone who tried to hit him around his head with an iron pole, and called then upon a large gang saying 'get the white boy' another was by a white lad who head butted him and broke his nose and a 4th by a black youth (at school) who caused him to require a stay in hospital with concussion and suffered two weeks of peripheral flashing in his damaged eye.
The point I'm making is that sh*t happens - I don't see black boy - Asian boys 'race card' but aimless teenage lads with too many hormones and an unfortunate bullying mentality.
Lets all pull together to create a better community don't react negatively - intergration not litigation is the way forward for all (well the vast majority) - because as I said bullies come in every guise With respect Lynne x

Dear Sir/Madam.
If Kilroy Silk has to ask the question what have the Arabs given to society...he clearly doesn't know his history. Apart from an arithmetical system, beautiful architecture, medicine, philosopy, chess, I could go on.
I am however concerned about remarks attributed to Iqbal Sacranie when he said that there should be zero tolerance towards racism and prejudice? In principle I agree entirely but who is to define what is rascist and prejudical...the press to who Mr Sacranie offered his views to. To those whom the racism is directed?
Or is it to the law. It seems to me that those who belong to a group who feel they are being targeted, especially very prominient members of that group should hold their fire until they see the whites of the racist eyes. Mr Kilroy Silk is a fool and what is more dangerous an ignorant one. But let those to whom we have delegated the power to take fools to task...we in the meantime must wait.

I note that there is great congruence between many of the latter emails you lead a visitor to believe are genuinely from different people.
They're all calling themselves White AngloSaxon Protestants, Englishmen etc.
Don't you find this slightly interesting? I find it highly amusing and sadly, no longer have much respect for the MCB. I have yet to meet one WASP, especially an English one who concurs with the majority of the comments allegedly made by those referring to themselves on your website as such.
Have a brief look at the number of REAL Englishmen (or indeed REAL land of gentry) out there who agree with Kilroy. Keep on trying boys, you're a long way off.
