| Dear Iqbal Sacrani,
I have been following this affair closely. I did write to Sunday Express objecting to the article last week.
I do not think that we should accept his apology. Let the full weight of the law take effect. Let the CRE continue with the legal case. At no stage should we back out. He has done this before and he will try to wriggle out and wait for another day to continue his assault. Now that we have got him let the law take its own course.
We have met a few times in the past. I hope you remember me. Last time it was at the London Rally Nov. 2003.
Best wishes

Dear Sir,
Mr Aitkin seeks to defend Kilroy in the name of free speech. In 1995 Mr Aitkin stated "If it falls to me to start a fight to cut out the cancer of bent and twisted journalism in our country with the simple sword of truth and the trusty shield of fair play, so be it." In 1997 Mr Aitkin was found to have lied to the court in a libel case he brought in an attempt to "gag" the Guardian and was later convicted of perjury.
You cannot read Kilroys article and say he is not talking about Arab people as opposed to Arab countries - its substance is innaccuracy and prejudice. Racism is not part of British sensibilities, it eats and destroys the very fabric of our society and civilisation. Others have been found guilty and convicted of inciting racial hatred for such remarks against other races such as Jews, so it is not new nor can it be said unfair. Just because Kilroy is a celebrity does not put him above the law, as Mr Aitkin has experienced.
Yours Sincerely,
|

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please rename your organisation to the
correct title of Muslim Council
of 'Great' Britain, as omitting the 'Great' is politically incorrect and
highly offensive to the
indiginous population of this country.
Racism works both ways, and I shall be contacting the race relations board
and charging
your organisation with racism towards the British should you not comply.
Yours Sincerely,
|

STATEMENT FROM THE COUNCIL OF CHRISTIANS AND JEWS
Re BBC Action on Robert Kilroy-Silk
The Council of Christians and Jews applauds the actions of the BBC in dropping Robert Kilroy-Silk’s programme following his outrageous article in the Sunday Express.
There is no doubt that the force and vituperation of his comments regarding Arabs and the Arab world at large are designed to play to the most ignorant sections of the gallery. Not only is this an extremely sensitive time in global terms, where suspicion and inflammatory rhetoric are putting the welfare of millions at risk, but his whole article runs counter to the values of decent British society. At a time when racism is a resurgent force in Europe, it must be made very clear, as the BBC has wisely done, that such comments will not be tolerated.
Not only are Robert Kilroy-Silk’s words racist in the extreme, they also incidentally betray his own ignorance regarding Arab life and culture, not least in the contributions it has made over the centuries to world heritage.
CCJ has been committed for over 60 years to combating racism and prejudice in our society. sadly, Robert Kilroy-Silk is not alone in believing even today that racism is somehow acceptable. The prompt action of teh BBC will help to counter that.

Please do not accept this cleverly manouvered apology from Kilroy-Silk???
The man is full of hate to Islam, muslims and arabs.
His past:writing,morning show..testify for that...
He has written many times before ,hurting the muslims in Britain?
He will not be impartial or neutral in his morning show,as he carries this evil hate in his heart.
I know him well... I can claim that I am the only muslim who watched most of his morning shows. I was once on his show when I felt been betrayed by him and not given the chance to talk, although I was an important muslim representative (on euthanasia). But because I was an arab/muslim!!! I was ignored completely.....!!! Please carry on with your great strong campaign:to be SACKED completely...from the BBC and from the Newspapers..for the sake of British muslims and the 200 million Arabs..

| Hello, I just thought that I would write this email to show my support for
you. My name is Tom Barrett from belfast northern Ireland. When I had heard
what this person said it made me feel angry. As mister kilroy silk has made
very serious remarks about the Irish of which I am proud to be. I have
emailed all the national newspapers and local papers here in Belfast urging
them. Not to put up with any racist people like silk. Not that this will
make any difference but I hope and pray that it does. Thank you very much
for taking the time to read this email.
