Salaam MCB, Having seen Yesterday's programme on BNP in BBC.. I'm very upset about this. I think we as muslims have to make a counteractive programme about muslims, faith islam, what is culture is all about.
First of who can you all a muslim? To be a muslim what rules and regulation muslim have to live by and especially in the west. Why is this culture to important to us .... islam is not a culture ... people create a culture taking values from reglion. What islams says about rights, equalities with to muslims and non-muslims ....
Something has to be done to make people understand about islam -- muslims and the what real islamic culture is ......
Is there a plan to sort this out .....

I am white, western and agnostic. I have known, been friends with and lived with many moslem people. I have never come across more decent, devout (for which I am jealous), sharing people. The Islam which is often portrayed in the media (violence, fundamentalism etc.) is a travesty of my experience. All this is a cliche, I know, but I needed to say it. Much love, Leo

Me a Muslim, and you representing Muslims in UK, I want to know what you are doing about BNP and the comments they made on TV.

Sirs, Being a christian I am inclined to agree that the manner in which this act has been applied is repugnant. Ian Barron

I have just read a statement from Inayet Bunglawala on AOL news saying that police activity was making the Muslim population bitter, what does he expect they do if they have intelligence to suggest that their are people within that community that mean to do the rest of us harm? the rest of the Muslim community have nothing to fear if they are not involved they are not living in an Islamic State were the police do as they wish with no one to question them. Does he think they should go out and arrest white Protestant young men to balance and make the Muslim population feel better. We all know that their are young Muslim men in this country who hate the west and all it stands for but wont leave to live in a country that better fits and understands their hate

When are you people going to understand that as Muslims you are not being persecuted !
As Pakistanis or Indians you are not being persecuted ! The Police have a job to do, and if it means that Muslims are being 'targeted' then there is a good reason for it. The safety of this Country comes first, long before anyones Religion !
It just so happens that there is a real and present threat from Muslim extremists, and yes unfortunately, innocent Muslims will get caught up in the race to catch these extremists, before they (the extremists) can bomb, kill, and injure, innocent civilians.
Stop being so damn obstructive and grow up ! If you want to live in this Country then start playing the game !

Brother Inayat,
Salamun alaikum
Had the pleasure to see you on Breakfast T.V. introducing the MCB booklet on Muslim's Rights and Responsibilities. Your responses and comments were both succinct and pertinent to the issues we face today. I was particularly impressed by your emphatic assertion that as British Muslims we also have responsibilities as well as rights. It is very necessary for us to express our willingness to contribute in a responsible way to the British society.
Thank you for your endeavours in securing a voice for us.
May the Almighty assist you in empowering and protecting the ummah and wishing you every success with the booklet.
With Salaams
