As a non-Muslim I would like to thank the Muslim Council of Britain for your sincere support for the family of Ken Bigley. We, white English, and non-Muslim are nonetheless friends of yours. Good friends....we have lots in common. Some of my family's best friends are Muslim, and that is the way it shall remain. We can all stand together against such barbaric acts of terrorism. I hope the western world, in particular Britain, can make great progress towards helping to resolve the Palestinian problem as much as is possible in the weeks and months to come. The Palestinian people are in our hearts as well as the Bigley family at this time.

I hate to even think of it, but I think there could be attacks on Muslims because of this. We will go back in time to the Holy Wars. Muslims will grow to wish they did not live in this country. I hope you are pleased with what has happened.

Hello MCB and Dr Daud Abdullah,
I want to express my thanks and appreciation for your willingness to speak out against violence in the world. Not violence against Christains, or Muslims, or Jews...but rather violence against humanity in the name of religion.
My wife and I are Americans living in London. We are both Catholics, but even more important, we are caring individuals who simply want the people of the world (regardless of religious beliefs) to live together in peace. The messages and tone by Dr Abduallah echoes the way we feel and his willingness express his concern and disgust with the violence of radical religious people is refreshing. If we can help in proliferating this message in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us. Again, thank you.

Dear General Secretary
I was appalled to read in this morning's Sunday Times that you have been receiving 'hate mail', death threats, etc. by email and post - as well as physical confrontations at mosques.
As I am sure you must know, the actions of these few extremists in Britain does not represent the views of the vast majority of your fellow citizens. However, I thought you would appreciate some emails that reiterate that fact. I feel that the Muslim community in the UK has behaved with concern and compassion on the issue of Ken Bigley's kidnapping and subsequent murder. Further, your attempts to obtain his release in Iraq through the good offices of very senior clerics was, I am sure, appreciated by the Bigley family and by all right-thinking people in this country.
With very best wishes
Yours sincerely
