Emails to the MCB on issues and concerns

| The Muslim Council of Great Britain should stop being so sensitive and
acknowledge the fact that it IS people who worship under the banner of
Islam who are carrying out terrorist attacks. Christians have
acknowledged for centuries that the Spanish Inquisition did not
represent Christianity in its true guise, and the Muslim Council should
acknowledge that some so-called followers of Islam are the modern-day
Spanish Inquisitors. If you _really_ want non-Muslims to support you,
then ask all true Muslims to hunt out the evil in your midst. It is not
enough to say that "the people who carried out these acts are not true
followers of Islam" - words mean nothing. Action is what is needed, and
that can only come from within the Islamic community.

Dear administration,
I am deeply affected by the fact that so many people expressed their
hatred via emails. When hearing this I really fear about the social
peace in Europe. Where will this lead us? We are together in Europe´s
societies and we have to respect each other. Right wing minorities are
everywhere in Europe. But I want to tell you that the great majority in
Europe does not think that way. I hope and I pray that Muslims will not
be affected by acts of violence just because some fanatics cause the
violent death of people with bombs. I´m from Germany and here we had a
great discussion about the headscarf in schools and about the status of
immigrants. As a confessing Christian wish that themes that concern
Muslim immigrants would be treated with more love and respect for the
other in the sense of Isa/Jesus.
with respect

Good morning
I just wanted to drop you a brief line to tell you that the vast majority of non-muslim Britons support their fellow Britons who happen to follow the muslim faith. This country is rightly proud of its tolerant culture and history and long may this last. As a non-muslim Briton, I am immensely proud of the multi-cultural, multi-faith country in which I live. I love to see the variety of people I share Britain with. The small minority who are attacking you at the moment do not represent the true British, in the same way that the London bombers do not represent true Islam. This is a great country for ALL Britons and our common future will not be ruined by a handfull of extremists, of whatever backround. Your faith and all our beliefs will help us at this difficult time.
God bless you

I was really distressed to hear that you and other Muslim organisations
in Britain had been receiving hate mail as a result of Thursday’s bombs
in London. At no time has it occurred to me to blame the Muslim
community for what has happened and I am deeply ashamed of the people
who have written to you in this way. More importantly, I do not believe
that they represent the majority view in this country.
I am a Londoner, from Islington, now living in Edinburgh, and was lucky
that my family, still living in Islington, are all safe. I do not
believe that anyone with any true faith or love of humanity could have
committed these crimes.
I grew up in London during the IRA bombing campaigns of the 70’s and
80’s and do not feel that all Irish are terrorists any more than I feel
that all Muslims are. These are violent individuals committing
indiscriminate acts, they are just as likely to kill and hurt Muslims as
Christians, Jews and Atheists and they don’t seem to care who they hurt
or kill.
It seems to me that the only way forward is for all faiths to stand
together in condemning such acts. I do not blame anyone except the
individuals who organised and carried out these bombings. Please know
that many British people share my views.
I wish peace for us all and very much hope that you will not suffer
further ill effects as a result of something that you are in no way
responsible for.
With best wishes,

I just wanted to say that the overwhelming majority of non muslims in
this country realise that the evil, cowardly acts of Thursday were not
done in the name of Islam. I know very little about Islam , but I have
friends of many religions including muslims and we all realise that the
people who kill and mame innocent civilians in the name of a religion
are hiding behind the curtain of religion. I wish all peace loving
muslims the best during this hard time, and say that we should all pull
together.
Peace be with you all

Dear Sirs,
Whilst you may have recently been receiving letters expressing outrage at
the London bombings from mindless idiots who think it was by someone within
the Muslim faith, I would like to point out that these people who are
retaliating against you or who are saying they will retaliate, are not worth
bothering about as they do not reflect the attitudes of the majority of the
population.
As any free thinking, half intelligent person will tell you, most non
Muslims do not look upon Muslims as any type of threat, we look upon you as
frie
If there have been any attacks on Muslims, then it can be only the few
mindless idiots who would have carried out an attack on someone anyway,
regardless of their religion, race or age and unfortunately, these are the
ones who we should pray for as they need more guidance than others, they
need more faith.
So for any misguided souls who have felt the need to rant and rave at you, I
hope this e-mail has gone some way to let you know that the majority of
people think as I do and rather than let this atrocity divide our faiths,
let us hope that it can bring us closer together and those who do not
understand your faith, may they understand that as with ours, peace and life
are revered.
Yours faithfully,
|

All my love and respect
I would like to send you my wishes, not all british people have an IQ of
a pea, that the vast majority of us have respect and love for all walks
of life, since I was a little I have always loved the cultures of the
world both religious and non-religious, life is full of rich and diverse
people, together we can all make the world a wonderful place. I don’t
want muslim people to feel as if they are hated because they are not at
all, I hope that muslims in Britain can feel safer knowing that most
people have no prejudice against them, I don’t want women, children or
men who are muslim to walk the streets in fear, London is for everyone
in the world who can come and live, be who they want to be in peace
knowing they are supported by the community of this great city.
One man wrote in his email to you quite horrid things under the name of
Ron on your website, saying this is not a multicutural land and the
streets would run with blood before that happens- I would like to
apologise to you for the insanity of sick minded people who want to put
fear into others, I am sure you know that what he says is not the
feeling of the majority of white people.
If this horrid man called Ron looked back into the past most of us so
called English people are mongrels anyway, in our blood runs all the
races of the world from Spainish, Danish, french, african, middle
eastern, mongolian, there is no such thing as a Pure British person, but
ignorance breads fear and hate then they spread this into others
lives. I want you to know I support the muslim community and will do
all I can in my way to make the muslim community feel happy to be apart
of the great community, and there home London, England. Allah is with
you.
All my wishes zoe

| i want to tell you not everyone hates muslims after the bombings. i live
in luton, in a mainly muslim area. you are my friends and my daughters
friends. My daughter is in and out of your houses, her friends are in and
out of mine. you cook for us, and i make halal meals you can eat. i am a
single mum, and when i was sick earlier this year, my neighbours cooked
for us for a week. you run my corner shop, and take parcels in for me if
i am out.you pick me up in taxis and help with my shopping as i have
arthritis. you are truly lovely compassionate people, and i love living
among you.i have learned a lot from you, as has my daughter.i was
totally against the war in iraq, and still am. i want you to knowyouhave
my support. maybe there is not much i can do, but if we remain solid
together, we can hopefully win through. thank you.

I thought it only right and proper that I should
express my solidarity with the Muslim community at a
time when I suspect your email inbox is receiving
messages of a far less pleasant kind.
That these terrorists struck in the heart of one of
this country's most multicultural districts is an
indication to me that "we are all in this together"
and that this is an attack on our shared love of
peace, harmony and tolerence.
May your faith give you strength in these trying
times.

As a non-Muslim, I welcome the MCB's efforts to foster tolerance and
understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims, and offer my support to UK
Muslims at this difficult time.
Muslims need to persuade the minority of hot-headed youngsters that violence
and intolerance are not the true path. We non-Muslims need to encourage and
support the overwhelming majority of Muslims who, like us, want to live in a
free and tolerant society.

Rest assured that not everybody blames Islam, which /most/ intelligent
and reasonable people realise is a peaceful religion that in no way
promotes or incites violence. You are as much part of England as anyone
else ( I am from South Africa and now living in the UK), so keep strong,
I hope that you will all be safe in this terrible time.
One of the things that /all/ religions have in common is that
they harbour a very small percentage of insecure and angry extremists.
Another thing they all have in common is tolerance - all people,
Christians, Jews, Catholics, etc, should embrace the latter rather than
the former.
People become afraid, and fear does not always bring out the best in the
human race.
Best wishes
