While not wishing to diminish in any way the condemnation for the appalling los of life in America I would like to send my support to British Muslims from a non muslim. Untill appropriate investigations are made no one can say who is responsible. Even if the people involved do turn out to be muslims I know that not all muslims supprt this and they should not be held responsible. We are all part of humanity and we should live in peace together. May i also offer my condolences for the victims of violence in the muslim world which have taken place over recent years and which also have caused untold sufffering. May the future of humanity be a peaceful one,

I would like to give you my support in this time of uncertainty. There are always a minority of people who like to blame everyone, with a connection be it religious or ethnic, for the atrocities of groups of extremists who persist in causing tragedy to innocent people. I would hope that there are more people like myself who feel that the only people to blame are the ones carrying out the atrocities. you are in the unlucky position of being associated with the terrorists because of your religion. It is a shame that in this century that people have to punish the innocent who have nothing to do with what has happened and are as equally affected as everyone else. I hope this has given you hope that there are people out there that do not condemn you for what has happened my prayers are with you as they are with the people affected by this tragedy.

I just want to say, as a British citizen, how sorry and appalled I am that Muslims in the UK and elsewhere are being sent hate mail and treated so badly in the streets because of the terrorist activities in the US. I cannot express my grief at this. I am ashamed that people in the country that I live should be so ignorant as to do this.

You must have had so much hurt and thatI cannot stand. If I could take it all away I would but I am just one person, and not an influential one at that. I thought that I would write because, perhaps, one positive email, may help to counteract some of the terrible ones that you may have received.

I worry from day-to-day what will happen to this world. It seems that you live in a place in which you think of as home, you have a life and then one day someone with decides to make decisions for you and before you know it your life has gone. It is a testing time.

I, personally, have never believed in war as a solution to anything. It has never and will never be an answer.

Please be strong, take with you warmth and encouragement, some of us are not ignorant when it comes to individuals, their faith and their culture. We all have a right to be here.

Following the disgraceful comments during the question time BBC programme, and the obvious hatred towards Britain\'s long standing ally, the USA, I am heartened to read the condemnation of the attacks in the US on your front page.

I have to say though, that my opinion of muslims has further declined as it seems that the sentiment issued on your page has more in common with trying to safegaurd your fellow muslims than what your communities real feeling are.

If your community feels no alliance with white, christian or atheist Britain, then you should return to the east where your religion is not an alien culture, and where the population shares those same religious and other common beliefs.

I am not a racist British white male, it just seems that muslims will never change their attitudes to complement the society which has provided them wit hshelter from fanatical regimes abroad, many, I suspect, from where most muslims originate.

To be an intagrated British (or American) muslim, it is time that you all started acting British, support Britain, not it\'s enemies in Afganistan, Iraq, Iran and the likes. The British peolpe WANT the support of British muslims, not constant carping and worshipping of your family\'s original motherland. Let your motherland go, and decide to be \"proper\" British citizens, and support the country which has, in the main, embraced you as a people.

I hope you find the time to reply. as I feel my views arew those of the last majority of the country.

I read with horror some of the bigoted Emails you have received. Please remember that the majority of non muslims do not blame you or any other muslims for Tuesday's events. We blame those evil men and women who used the name of Islam to justify pure evil.
