We deplore the abuse and attacks that have taken place on members of the British Muslim community as a result of the terrorist action in America. Like you we feel that indiscriminate action taken against other equally innocent individuals as reprisals would be a crime of equal inhumanity. If we can be of help should members of your community suffer from harrasment or threats please contact us.

My name is Cameille Pentland, a non-Muslim Australian living in London. I am not only very sorry to hear all of the Muslim condemnation taking place on News Bulletin's throughout the UK due to last weeks attacks on America, but am equally worried about the price that not only Muslims, but indeed those of all religions may have to pay to make amends for this terrible disaster.

I am trying to find out about any peaceful demonstrations due to take place in London to protest against the use of force and victimisation against the innocent people of this world. An eye for an eye and the whole world ends up dead!

I would be grateful if you could give me any information about any planned peaceful demonstrations.

Why aren't you disassociating yourselves from your murdering bretheren? Why arn't you hunting them down? Why? because you'r all the same! If you don't like the British way of life and won't adopt it GET OUT. I'll be among the first to contribute to your repatriation to rid the decent peace loving people of the UK of your cancerous teachings.

I heard this morning that Muslims in the UK have been being bullied and harassed because of the tragedy in the US on Tuesday. I just wanted to write in balance to that and say that I welcome Islam in our society in the UK.

Sirs, I have been reading an article on your website asking people to report 'abuse' etc. to members of the muslim faith. Is it any wonder that members of your religion are or could be experiencing genuine anger against then ? The reports in the responsible press of school children of muslim faith cheering and clapping in classrooms when the terrible news broke is only one of the reasons. It is inconceivable that these children are not being indoctrinated by members of your religion to hate the west. Could members of any other religion in your home countries behave in such a manner? Rather than looking to find problems against the people in this country who happen not to agree with your particular religion. it might be better to weed out the 'serpent in your own bosom' , your own people, extremists we know, but still supported or at least tolerated by yourselves. We know that the majority of Muslims abhor the terrorist activities but the problem is that you have not tried to assimilate yourselves into this country's culture. If this country is such a terrible place why is it that so many people of your religious persuasion wish to live here? This is probably the most tolerant country in the world. It is your communities responsibility to root out your extremists and report them to the police before trying to find extremists in the rest of the community. Remember that 'right's' come after 'responsibilities'
