I would just like to express my support for British Muslims at this difficult time. I am sure I like most decent people the world over do not blame Muslims or Islam for the terrible events in the USA.These acts of terrorism were commited by people with no respect for human life, Islam teaches respect for all human life.

I hope the USA does not take revenge for these terrible murders by bombing inocent people in Afganistan or other Islamic countries, two wrongs do not make a right.

While I am an Atheist in my own beliefs, I fully support a free choice of religious beliefs and tolerancce for all people.

I was greatly saddened to hear on the news of the hate mail that the Muslim Council is receiving following the World Trade Centre attack. In a time of, I feel, ever-increasing Islamaphobia and alarming moves on both the national and world stages, I wondered if you knew of a peace/anti-racism movement that I, as a non-Muslim, could give my support to? Is the Muslin Council supporting any joint peace petitions or anti-Islamaphobia movements? Many thanks and can I send my support at a time when the mindless bigots seem to be getting more vocal and vicious.

I just wanted to write to say how very sorry I am to hear about the various attacks that have been happening to members of your faith, following the terrible events of last week. I know that true followers of Islam are peaceful and loving people. We are all brothers and sisters, I hope that one day we can all live in peace and harmony.

I wish peace and love to all Muslims living in Britain.

I was horrified to hear of the hate mail being received by members of the Muslim communities throughout the country in the aftermath of thedreadful events in the Uni ted States.

I would like to express my sincere sympathies to anyone of the Muslim Faith who have suffered any form of abuse.

The great majority of us realise that it is only those fanatical represe ntatives of any religion, whose backgrounds lead them to inflict such suffering on the innocent and that those who hold true to the beliefs and teachings of our various holy scriptures look upon our fellow man with kindness and compassion.

I feel that the world has overlooked the fact that amongst those so tragically killed were peoples of all nations and beliefs, including your own
