It is apparent from perusing several dozen of your published Emails, that the vast majority of the 'contributors' are not only racist but totally ignorant of practically everything to do with religion in general, and perhaps Muslims in particular. All religions have their fanatics, from the Christian Crusades to the Catholic persecution of the Protestants in Europe where the Hugenots were driven out by the Spanish Inquisition. The Sanish decimation of the South American people was no less a tragedy than more recent events, and the last twenty years in Northern Ireland are no better. It should be up to the members of any religion to control the more fanatical of their own members and stop them from committing outrageous acts upon other peoples or states. In this way a more peaceful co-existance between races might be attained. Nothing will be achieved by blindly supporting a section of, or religion its-self, that initiates or supports fanatical attacks on others for whatever reason. One of the main reasons the western world is worried about Islam is the media stories an pictures of small boys being encouraged to fire automatic rifles into the air while chanting their hate for anyone not of their faith.

I am becoming concerned that many of the Islamic groups in this country are using the events in America to seek political gain. Namely by wanting to introduce legislation against incitement to Islam. I have friends in the past week that have been subject to violence by out local Muslim community simply for wearing an American flag on their clothing. Surely this is evidence that you too incite against innocent people going about their daily lives. As a white, Christian, British human being it is true to say that I do view Islam as a threat to my country, my culture and my religion, indeed my very existence. Those of the Muslim community who dislike this country, want to change it, whatever, should go and live in an Islamic country - God knows there is plenty of them! If however Muslims can practice their faith without forgetting they live in a democracy with millions of other people with a million other ways of life then they should be welcomed to Britain and treated with respect. At the same time it is the duty of those Muslims who remain in Britain and who want to be respected to earn respect, not demand it.

I am writing to express my personal support for the Muslim community at this time, and to assure your members that there are many of us who recognise that there is a profound difference between those who perpetrated the horrendous acts in America on 11th September, and ordinary Muslims. Like The Council, I believe in justice through peace. I do not belive military action will solve the problem of international terrorism, nor halt it. We must stand shoulder to shoulder for peace and justice, and demand an end to violence wherever it happens in the world. Most of the people I talk to feel the same way as I do. I live in a tiny village on the Welsh borders and thus have no opportunity to forge links with local Muslims. I would be interested to hear whether you have any suggestions as to how I could help to further good relations between Muslims and non-Muslims in this country. For instance, have any suggestions as to how we could set up links between our primary school here and Muslim children elsewhere? Or are some simple educational tools which we could use to inform our children about what it really means to be a Muslim? Yours, in peace,

"As British servicemen face death in the new crusade against Islamic fundamentalists, isn’t it time to face up to the fact that the biggest danger to the British people comes, not from Afghan war lords, but from Muslim extremists living in our own country? It was Muslim extremists who sparked serious race riots all over the UK in recent months, in places like Oldham, Bradford and Burnley. The West must wake up to the threat to our way of life posed by Muslim extremists. Not all Muslims are fundamentalist fanatics who want to use a combination of immigration, high birth rates and indoctrination to turn Britain into an Islamic Republic. There’s no point blaming ordinary Muslims for the actions of the extremists in their midst. No! The people to blame for all this are the Labour, Tory and Lib-Dem politicians who forced the ‘multicultural’ society on us in the first place! Did they ever ask us for permission to flood our country with foreigners? Did they ever ask us if we were happy to be turned into second-class citizens in our own land? So why just watch when you’ve got the chance to do something about it? The chance to make a positive difference? The chance to build a real future for your children and grandchildren? The chance to help reverse the undemocratic folly of the old parties and stop the fanatics who want to turn Britain into an Islamic Republic?" This is taken from the BNP's web site. I have to agree with them, if you want to stay in this country then it's time to change!, become Christians or just keep quite. It's our country stop trying to change it by trying to get into power. We don't tell you what to do in your country.
