I have written in earlier, condemning the racist backlash against muslims in the UK, US and elsewhere. I still stand by this. However, I am concerned that the 'jihad' has been interpreted by a number of muslims as treating all non-muslims as the enemy. I may have this wrong, but when 'jihad' has been declared do some/all muslims think its their duty to kill 'infidels'?

No more lies about the 'peacefulness' of Islam will be tolerated. The Qu'ran is a text about war. The 'extremists' are merely following WHAT IT SAYS. You have to face up to the fact that your religion is violent, agressive, dogmatic and EVIL. It is a cancer. There are many people who have tolerated that cancer for long enough. If there is the slightest hint of retribution by British muslims in response to a US attack on Afghanistan then there is going to be chaos in this country. The BNP will have a f****** field day. The 'extremists' are one step away from bringing a racist mob smashing down on the heads of all you muslim scum, and the millions who hate Islam are not going to stand in the way and defend you. The terrorists weren't BAD MUSLIMS. Face the Truth : ISLAM IS A BAD RELIGION.

Mrs Thatcher is correct and the outbursts of Iqbal Sacrani and others do real damage to the image of Muslims in this country. Condemnation of terror has been feeble – it must be more robust and MUST be reported in the Press. If the divide between sensible, moderate Muslims and the evil fundamentalist terrorists is not widened it can only lead to trouble in the streets of this country.

We have read with great sadness, and anger, the many insulting messages you have received, a considerable number from people who claim that they were not previously anti-Muslim and that the outrage in the USA has tipped the balance for them. Such sophistry. These people obviously harboured at least latent racist/bigoted views before the attacks.It is simple hypocrisy for people in the West to claim any moral superiority over Islam, and shows a blinding disregard for, and ignorance of, the actions and complacency, past and present, of the so-called Christian world.As Christians we hold out the hand of friendship to you and welcome the richness and diversity you bring to our country. The bigots, of course, brand us as wishy-washy liberals because we have the sense to recognise that the actions of fanatics do not represent the views of the vast majority.As for talk of revenge, an eye for an eye leads only to a blind world.
