You must realise that the majority of thinking people do not condemn Muslims en masse and I myself am sympathetic to all normal peace loving Muslims and so sorry for the back lash that inevitably hits you all when these wicked beyond reason things happen.

Another issue, can you not give much more serious consideration to the supplying of Muslim schools? I hate to think of your children being isolated from the rest of the British community, bigots already have colour as a weapon and just look at our own people in Northern Ireland, nothing to be proud of .

Don't give them another easy target.

I would just like to say that I hope that Muslims in the UK do not get persecuted for the terrible actions of a small group of people.
One cannot and should not judge a whole community on the actions of a few.
I'm sure people from all faiths were killed in yesterday's attack.

You don't miss a trick! Half an hour after e mailing you the regarding the following, a representative of the MCB was speaking as the lead news item on the very radio station I mentioned.

Unfortunately, they are still at it on the message board. Supposed Christians versus Muslims and vica versa. Bizarrely even the Sikhs have joined in! Perhaps I take it too seriously but it does look unpleasant.

At least I have learned something from your excellent site. The feature about the history of Muslims in the UK was very interesting. Particularly, that Winston Churchill was the instigator of the Regent's Park site and that it was actually constructed during wartime. Remarkable. I will try to find out more.

It is sadly inevitable that the Muslim community in Britain and around the >world will suffer added persecution and retribution for the recent tragic >events in America. I would like to offer my support to all Muslims around >the world in helping to counter-act prejudice and misunderstanding of the >Muslim faith. I know that Islam is a peace loving religion and the people >that carried out this criminal act can not call themselves true Muslims. I >hope that people come to understand your position and that all faiths can >work together to help stamp out this evil in the world.

I am not a Muslim myself and I have heard your organisation (I think it was you) on Radio 4 saying many Muslims in Britian were afraid of being attacked because of the trajic events yesterday in America.
I'd just like to say that I think its absolutely disgusting certain people would want to take it out on members of your religious community who are ordinary people not involved in the events in any way at all and cause so much unhappiness.
