I have two questions for the MCB. > >1.What is the MCB doing do prevent the race hate that is being preached by >Muslim clerics in Britain and beyond? And to remove the institutional >racism >that words like 'Infidel' imply? > >2.Your recent published statements give the impression that it is more >important to support muslims in the world, however satanic their acts, >rather than impose civilised values. Instead of America punishing the >criminals, how would the MCB bring them to justice? > >Thankyou for your considered views.

Dear Sir or Madame,

I am an American who recently read your statement condemning the action the United States and Great Britain are taking against Afghanistan. While I too have reservations about the retaliation, I find your condmenation inappropriate because you criticize without proposing any kind of alternative action to solve the crisis. If you have an alternative to military force, please present it to the world for judgement. If you do not, then please do not criticize the United States and Great Britain for taking the action they deam necessary to resolve this crisis. I wish no harm to the innocent and long suffering people of Afghanistan. I have been to several third world nations, so I have some idea of how much the people of Afghanistan suffer. The innocent in Afghanistan are in my prayers. The United States of America was attacked and much innocent blood was shed on American soil. I wish no one else had to die, but it seems clear to me that the US has no choice but to retaliate by bringing war to the Taliban and al Qaeda because war is all they know. May God help us all through the dark days ahead.

What is all this nonsense I see spouted in the e-mails sent to you after September 11th? I followed a link from the BBC site and quite simply was not prepared for what I saw. There are no sides. There is no us and them. There are no Muslims. There are no atheists. There are no Christians. We are people, and for all the differences our up-bringing puts upon us, we are the same.No one should have blown up any buildings and no one should be bombing anywhere. It’s all wrong.I am so saddened for and by the world.

I am an American who is concerned about some of the things I have heard Muslims in Britain advocate. It seems some Muslims condone the atrocity of September 11. I heard there was a fatwa issued by a British imam to for Muslims to murder Americans. I assure you, any Muslim who tries to murder me will die painfully. I own several weapons, my favorite being a 12 guage shotgun. I think you Muslims are a fifth column of Islamic imperialism. Islam, in my opinion, cannot coexist with Western values. You Muslims should return to the Middle East and stay there. If the time comes when the West and Islam go to war, Islam will be annihilated.

Dear MCB,

It seems to me that the Islamic world has not taken a precise position in regard to the tragic facts of NY and terrorism in general the name of God which lately has taken the name of 'islamic terrorism'. Have you considered to gather all the major islamic theologians and define in a council, once for all, the canons into which islamic world should move (faith, behavior, ethics, etc.)?

Thank you much
