I want to express my support for the Muslim community. I hope you don\'t mind me using this \"contact us\" form to do it. As a Christian, I\'ve been saddened by news of hate-mail etc. sent to mosques because of the current international situation. Unfortunately, there are a minority of lunatics and extremists, and misguided people willing to commit violent acts, and claim they do it in the name of either Islam or Christianity. I think the challenge is to ensure that the will of the peaceful majority prevails over the will of the violent few.

Just a word to say Hooray for Islam and Moslems, which I have always respected. I studied Arabic, Persian and Hebrew many years ago and am saddened to see the reactions of many to this whole catastrophe. In sha Allah the light will penetrate men\'s hearts one day. Meanwhile, keep the faith, and be proud of it - I wish I could help in some way...

As-salaamu aleikum!

Dear friends, This is simply a message of solidarity and best wishes from a (non-Muslim) resident of Birmingham, concerned for his Muslim friends neighbours. I live in a majority Muslim neighbourhood. My children go to schools where more children than not are from Muslim families. I am appalled at the reported acts of harassment and violence towards my friends and neighbours since the September 11 attacks in the USA and the recent USA military intervention in Afghanistan. With best wishes,

Dear mcb In a situation where those of us ordinary British citizens are appalled at what is happening but are pretty powerless to do anything about it, I wanted toexpress fraternal support and compassion to your community. there are very many who believe that what is happening in Afghanistan is unjust and it may help a little to know this

Dear Sir,following the tragic events in America-i do not understand why the MCB has not distanced itself from the brand of Islam that Bin Ladden is using. Furthermore it seems very backward of Muslim countries to believe that any western military activity in another Muslim country is an attack on them despite the circumstances. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!I believe that all Muslim imigrantsinto the uk should have to swear an oath of allegance to the country-as in America. If you dont like our ways-GO HOME!
