Dear Sir
I am a none practising white English Christian and the recent events in America have in my opinion brought to the front the Christian Muslim relationship, I would like to give you my opinion on one or two things. I feel that we are not close enough together and the fault lies massively on both sides, I am a none racist person and even I feel that the majority of Muslims do not like the British that they do not feel or want to be English, if none racist feel like this what about the racists or extremists. I think you people ought to encourage your leaders your sporting leaders to be more like Nassar Hussien, he can be a Muslim of Pakistani origin but he is also an English sporting hero that people can relate to, I don't believe that the boxer Nazzem does your people any good with his in your face I'm fighting for Muslims, I guess that means to many I'm not fighting for you. It sickens and hurts when I read of English born young men standing on the steps of a Mosque in London saying he would like to be a Martyr and that Whitehall is a legitimate target, it feels like an enemy within and only fuels white racism. I think we are afraid of you and fear creates violence. I accept that racism is perpetrated against you people by white society I accept that it is not right that you people find it much more difficult to get jobs and to prosper in the Police the Armed Forces the Political System and probably every walk of life but we have to feel comfortable with each other and that is up'to your leaders to set examples to find people like Nassar Hussien to promote them, we desperately need Muslim English hero's. I would first of all try and get every professional football team to get Pakistani (English) children to play football, the day we have a Pakistani (English) international will be a great day and a bringing together of people.
Yours in peace

I read your messages on your website with much sadness, at so much hatred directed against muslims. This must not be a war against Islam, or the
world will take a vast step backwards into barbarism. As a Christian, I
feel that Islam is not to blame for what has happened, and must not be
targeted. Islam is not a religion of war, just as Christianity is not,
and both have so often been used by evil people to justify their violence.
I would urge you do to as much as you can to explain the muslim view, to
show what Islam really means, not what is portrayed across the media. In
particular, Osama bin Laden's lies must be rejected as being wholly false;
he does not speak for Islam, and there are many verses in the Koran which
would completely reject what he has done. I think you have a strong
opportunity to stand up now for what is good and true about Islam. Please
also say what you think should be done about all areas of the current
situation; the bombing in Afghanistan, the need to bring bin Laden to
justice, the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, the form of government
there. I ask you to do this because I fear that if you don't, others will
say these things for you and attribute them to muslims. There has been
too little reporting of moderate and mainstream muslim opinion.

I have always considerd myself to be an open minded easy going chap. I am a GP - I have all faiths in my practice and treat them the same .
However my ability to fair and equitable to all is being servely challenged by the attitdue of the MCB.
What concerns me about the response by Muslims to the democratic world's action following the Terrorist Attacks on the US is the feeling that the British ( and worldwide) Muslims are only opposing action BECAUSE it happens to be muslims that are the culprits and the targets in what to many in the west seems like a just war.
I mean if it turned out that the terrorists had beenSouth American Drug barons would the Muslims batter an eye at reprisals and action to stamp out the evil.
Or if it was the IRA .
I dont think so .
So here we have British Muslims sticking up for terrorists and murders supported by a corrupt evil regime that surely does not represent Islam (which appears to be a peaceful faith - one of the faiths of the book as you call it )
It is enough to turn a fair man ( with asian freinds and work colleages ) racist!
Try to convince me otherwsie ..
I totally support this JUST war ..

I am 46 Christian, and with a wide experience of living /working throughout the middle east (iran 78/79,Saudi '80, Libya 82)
and have experienced the best ,and very definitly the worst of living
amongst muslims.
i make no bones about the fact that many trouble spots are the result of
"bad planning" by the "Super powers"
as before that the blame for many other "bad" places could be put at the
door of the Colonial Powers,
BUT let us no forget that over the centuries there have been Muslim
atrocity
against muslim and Arab atrocity against Arab
many many times.
To constantly seek to justify the woes of a cetrtain country on events 100
or so years ago is as relevant as saying
"because London burnt down and was rebuilt " all wooden houses are bad.
Where were the screaming headlines of
THIS BARBAROUS ACT IS A DEFAMATION OF ISLAM!!!!!!!!!!! on the 11th Sept.
SCREAMS not whispers, because let us never forget
63 years ago a campaign was embarked upon, that ultimately led to millions
dying including "innocents", against a barbarous regime that threatened
the lives of the entire world and for a few short months was on the verge of
total victory.
Hundred of thousands of Young military gave their lives to protect
freeedom,a freedom that still allows Muslim,Jew,Christian,Pagan the right
to speak their mind, and this includes you the MCB.
Do you for one moment think that you was an organisation would be allowed
to exist had Hitler and the Reich not been fought?
Would you as a minority religion have ANY of the rights, so openly spat
upon, were you all inAfghanistan??
Spare the people of Afghanistan cry the refugees now shelterd here,if they
worry so much let them get off thier arses an go and fight the people who
are NOW ruining their country,if they are so worried.
People of Islam you are seldom prepaerd to lose blood on your own
behalf, unles it is a jihad for this that or whatever(funny is it not ,the
Taleban declared Jihad aginst the Mujihadeen in....where was it again ..oh
yes Afghanistan).
The western nations will not look on idly whilst some lunatic heretics, (In
the nmae of ISLAM!) hijack planes and then deliberately aim that buildings
to seek revemge for WHAT?? exactly.
These planes had WOMEN CHILDREN and BABIES on board, yet they were
slaughtered,by lunatics in the name of ISLAM!!!!!!
Perhaps we should revert to type(as defined by Bin Laden, we the west are
after all the scum of the earth are we not?) and just kidnap Muslims ,strap
them to missiles and fire them at the Arab/Muslim world.Be about the same
thing no??
NO it would not because whether Islam has the courage to think it,in this
,the modern world NEVER EVER has any non muslim used such
despicable, cowardly tactics,we at least try to hit military targets

I was ashamed to read some of the views expressed in the e-mails concerning the Sept 11th tragedy. Crude rascism and insults have never solved anything. I simply write to say please do not be too quick to condemn the US and her allies (namely this country) to attempt to take action following the Trade Centre attacks, many political and religous figures have made very great efforts to explain to the British public that muslims here did not support the terror attacks and to reassure and protect the muslim community. Statements now made by your organisation condemning the millitary response will be interpretated by many as double standards, and the sight of thousands of muslims worldwide attending pro-Bin Laden demonstrations will alarm many British people, myself included. He seems a curious hero for a peaceful religon. Please tread carefully in the coming weeks and do not break ranks with Britain's leadership now. This has hardly been a good year for the community relations of native British people and muslims. A few badly chosen words now could make many of us question the desire of Muslims to fully integrate into western society. I hope these comments do not sound like veiled threats, they are not meant as such, but please think of the horror we felt watching those terrible scenes on TV. I have no argument with the Afghan people or indeed any muslims like the majority of British people. But please do not expect an act of hate of that immense magnitude to simply be brushed under the carpet. Let us all hope for an eventually peaceful outcome.
