1. WHO MAY MAKE AN APPLICATION / NOMINATION

Any person or an organisation itself may make a nomination by completing the nomination form

2. COMPLETING THE NOMINATION FORM

Please complete the nomination form completely and accurately. It is important that you provide as much information as possible about the organisation, and try to explain what their actual contribution in an area has been, as opposed to just listing what the organisation has done.

3. NUMBER AND CATEGORY OF AWARDS

There are only three winners; one winner for each category. Any project or organisation which has made a difference to the lives of young Muslims is eligable to apply irrespective of whether it is run by Muslims or not.
There are three categories:

Local - an organisation or project which has shown exemplary commitment, energy and innovation in improving the lives of young Muslims in the local area / community. An example of a previous winner in this category is the PEACE Youth Project in London.

Regional - an organisation or project which has shown exemplary commitment, energy and innovation in improving the lives of young Muslims in the region e.g. London, Birmingham, Glasgow. An example of a previous winner in this category is the Federation of Muslim Organisations, Leicester.

National - an organisation or project which has shown exemplary commitment, energy and innovation in improving the lives of young Muslims across the UK. An example of a previous winner in this category is the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS).

4. DEADLINE

All nominations must be recieved by Friday 30 September 2011, 18.00 hrs. Late entries will not be accepted.

5. BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND SUPPORTING LETTERS

Although not a necessity, letters of support and endorsements can help the judges formulate a more rounded perspective of a particular project / organisation. Letters of support should be from others who have first hand knowledge of and can endorse the organisation / projects work. You may also send us examples of the their work (e.g. annual reports, case studies, videos, photographs, books).

You must send any additional information via post, not email and ensure that it arrives before the deadline; 30th September. Any information sent after this date will not be considered. For postal address visit 'Contact' section.
